Timelapse of making dog-paw keyrings

Almost all smartphones nowadays have the ability to take timelapses. A timelapse, if you don’t know, just speeds up time so the video looks like fast motion. They’re incredibly useful for my type of work, because even I wouldn’t sit through a 5 minute video of someone routing out a piece of wood!

With that in mind, here’s a short timelapse of the making of a recent order of dog paw keyrings from WonderPaws. They start with small round discs, which are then hand routed out to leave a ‘negative’ of the dog paw. The edges are dyed black to provide more of a contrast, and then the company website, www.wonderpaws.ie, is engraved on the circumference.
